This talk presents two ongoing interdisciplinary research projects that are situated at the nexus of international law and the social sciences. It draws some lessons for lawyers who are setting out on research projects with scientists with other backgrounds, including computer sciences, engineering, empirical philosophy, and behavioural economics.
