News from Sep 29, 2023

Our long-time partner in Hartford, the University of Connecticut School of Law, offers FU Law students to participate in the online course "Comparative Law and Righs" taught by Professor Dr. Ángel Oquendo in the spring 2024.

Once successfully completed at the University of Connecticut, this course will be transferred to the students' records at Freie Universität Berlin with 5 ECTS-credits.

Grade conversion will follow the table for study abroad at the University of Connecticut School of Law as approved by the Examination Committee. The table is shown on the webpage https://www.jura.fu-berlin.de/international/studierendenaustausch/outgoings/partnerunis/uconn_double-degree/index.html under the headline "Grade Conversion".

This is a regular course at the University of Connecticut. It will take place online, via video conference, in the U.S. spring term. Teaching in the spring term starts on January 16th, 2024 and ends on April 29th, 2024.

Class-time (with mandatory online attendance) is on Wednesdays from 4 - 7 p.m. local time (10 p.m. - 1 a.m. Berlin time!).

The examination will probably be a written exam (subject to confirmation by the course instructor) which will take place at the Freie Universität Berlin in May or in June.
