Call for Applications: Helga Pedersen Moot Court Competition 2026/27
All law students are warmly invited to apply to join the FU team for the Helga Pedersen Moot Court Competition. As part of the competition, you will take on an exciting and complex case relating to topical questions of the European Convention on Human Rights and get to know students from across Europe in a major European city (most recently Porto and Athens). The top 18 teams will also take part in the Final Oral Round in Strasbourg before the European Court of Human Rights and the Council of Europe.
Please send applications, consisting of a cover letter, a CV and a transcript of records, to the Coach of the Team, Julian Schramm (julian.schramm@fu-berlin.de). Please also state in your application whether you have applied only for the HPMCC or also for other moot courts. The application deadline is 28 June 2026at 11:59 pm. Interviews are scheduled to take place during the first two weeks of July.
A joint information session for both international law moot courts at the FU will take place on 9 June from 12.30 pm to 2.00 pm in Hörsaal III. Please feel free to drop by and ask any question.

Alle FU-Studierenden der Rechtswissenschaft sind herzlich eingeladen, sich für das FU-Team der Helga Pedersen Moot Court Competition zu bewerben. Im Rahmen des Wettbewerbs werdet Ihr Euch mit einem spannenden und komplexen Fall zur Europäischen Menschenrechtskonvention auseinandersetzen und Studierende aus ganz Europa in einer europäischen Metropole (zuletzt Porto und Athen) kennenlernen. Die besten 18 Teams nehmen zudem an der Endrunde in Straßburg vor dem Europäischen Gerichtshof für Menschenrechte und dem Europarat teil.
Bewerbungen bestehend aus Motivationsschreiben (Englisch), Lebenslauf und Notenübersicht sind an den Coach Julian Schramm (julian.schramm@fu-berlin.de) zu senden. Bitte gebt zudem (zu Koordinationszwecken) in Eurer Bewerbung an, ob Ihr Euch nur für die HPMCC oder auch für andere Moot Courts beworben habt. Die Bewerbungsfrist endet am 28. Juni 2026 um 23:59. Die Bewerbungsgespräche werden voraussichtlich in den ersten beiden Juli-Wochen stattfinden.
Eine gemeinsame Informationsveranstaltung für beide völkerrechtlichen Moot Courts an der FU findet am 9. Juni von 12:30 bis 14:00 Uhr in Hörsaal III statt. Schaut gerne vorbei, und bringt Eure Fragen mit.
