News from Mar 26, 2020

Applications for the academic year 2020/21 are still open. The application deadline remains April 30, 2020 (until further notice).

All lectures, tutorials and service operations scheduled for the summer term 2020 will take place in digital formats. The lecturers and staff of the MBL-FU programme are currently reorganizing the upcoming curriculum. Our students will be informed about all changes in due course.

On March 23, 2020, FU Berlin has reduced all on-site operations to the most essential, mainly administrative services. As a result, all buidlings of the university are closed and no one is allowed to be anywhere on campus of FU Berlin.

Please note that the office hours of all MBL-FU staff members are suspended until further notice. Your enquiries will be responded via email. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

The start of next semester has been delayed and is now officially set to begin on April 20, 2020.

This means that there may be some changes to our schedule:

  • We are finding an alternative date for the lecture by Prof. Kerber (Economic Fundamentals to Innovation and IP) and Robert Köller's Introduction to IP. Lectures on April 16/17 and April 18 will not take place.
  • We are in contact with all lecturers. There are likely to be some changes and some lectures may take place as online “web conferences”. These will either be screened in the lecture room (in case of absence of the lecturer) or you will be given a link to log in from home.
  • We are looking into compensating “web conferenced” lectures with smaller tutorials (of ca. 10 people) or additional online exercises to make sure all students are faring well with the materials and getting the feedback you need.

We will announce any changes as soon as we can. Please also read through the FU’s FAQs concerning the virus regularly and check our website for updates and changes in the MBL-FU curriculum.
