Career Service FU Berlin

Career Service FU Berlin

Our graduates benefit from a practice-oriented and academically rigorous education that prepares them for a broad spectrum of career opportunities, especially - but certainly not exclusively - in the field of competition and regulatory law. MBL-FU graduates pursue successful careers in national and international law firms, take on positions in public (competition) authorities, and work as in-house legal advisors or consultants. Further career paths include roles within the European Commission, notably the DG Competition, as well as positions in NGOs and international organizations. The program also provides an excellent basis for an academic career.

Professional development

Throughout your studies, but also as members of our alumni network, we offer you a wide range of career-related opportunities and events. Lecturers offer career talks, formats such as fireside chats and practitioners’ days foster the exchange with experts, alumni and students and encourage networking. In addition, career events hosted by law firms provide valuable insights into professional requirements and offer opportunities to establish direct contacts.

Our offers are complemented by diverse services and events at Freie Universität Berlin, offered for example by the Career Service at FU Berlin or the StudierendenWERK BERLIN. These include workshops on the particularities of the German labour market and the application process, important professional (soft) skills or career planning.
