We are very proud to announce that Leni Papa, MBL-FU graduate of 2018, has been admitted to the Fulbright U.S.-ASEAN Visiting Scholars Initiative. Launched in 2012 to intensify personal interaction and educational engagement connected to relevant issues in the ASEAN region, the initiative awards scholarships for professionals from ASEAN member states to carry out research at U.S. universities. During her stay in the US, our alumna Leni Papa will conduct research on the harmonization of competition laws in the ASEAN region.

It is with great excitement that we have learnt about the admission of Antonella Salgueiro, MBL alumna of 2017, to the Young Professionals Programme of the World Trade Organization in Geneva. The Programme was launched in 2016 to enhance the knowledge and skills on WTO issues of young professionals. Antonella works in the Intellectual Property, Government Procurement and Competition Division and is currently preparing several publications that we will be happy to announce once completed.

May 2017

Another great publication by an MBL Alumni. Olga Stefanowicz, graduate of the class of 2015/16 and currently PhD candidate at the University of Wrocław (EMS), published her Case Comment on the ECJ's decision in SIA ‘Maxima Latvija’ v Konkurences padome (Case C-345/14) in the Yearbook of Antitrust and Regulatory Studies last year. The analysis focusses on the different cases falling within the 'by object' box of restrictions. Congratulations, Olga!

We are proud to announce that Vasil Stoynov, a graduate of our 2015/16 class, has published his analysis of direct effect of EU bi- and multilateral trade agreements in the winter edition of the Amsterdam Law Forum. The article, first conceived as an MBL research paper, carefully traces the doctrine of direct effects, from its beginnings in van Gend and Loos to its application in several multilateral agreements such as TTIP. It is great to see such a brilliant paper reach an audience beyond the MBL programme. Congratulations!

September 2016

We are proud to announce that while finishing her master thesis, our student Jelena Mičetić Krowarz has published her case study on the decision of the US Court of Appeals for the 1st Circuit in In Re Loestrin 24 Fe in the Oxford Journal of Intellectual Property Law & Practice. It is great to see that what started out as a 1500 word case study of our e-learning segment has become such a wonderful article through Jelena's hard work and dedication to good academic principles. Congratulations!
