The students deal with economic competition under an international perspective. Competition law issues are analysed in an comparative perspective (especially US and EU and the relation between the EU and its Member States). The module also focuses on aspects of the introduction and promotion of competition law in developing countries, as well as on the extraterritorial enforcement. Further, the module also encloses the rules governing State intervention in the internal market, especially concerning subsidies, state aid and public procurement.
