Successful candidates will have a research focus in competition law and/or intellectual property rights. Applicants
should be experienced in university teaching in an international environment and have a distinguished record of research activities. Additionally, candidates are expected to have experience in acquiring funding for, and carrying out externally funded research projects. Apart from the official duties of the appointee in accordance with Article 99 of the Berlin Higher Education Act, we expect the applicant to engage in the following activities:
The appointee will take responsibilities in supervising the Master programme European and international commercial law, competition law and regulatory law (MBL-FU). She or he will participate in the “Export of teaching
service” for students from the School of Business and Economics at Freie Universität Berlin. We are looking for a candidate who will intensify the development of joint research projects and international collaborations.
Additionally, we expect our professors to address gender and diversity issues relevant to the discipline. Applications should include a CV, copies of all certificates of academic qualification in German or English; if
applicable the letter of appointment (please add translations if needed), a list of publications, a list of courses previously taught, and evidence of teaching competence. Furthermore, please include information on involvement in ongoing and future research endeavours, joint research projects and externally funded projects, and if
necessary language certificates. If applicable for the respective content area, please give information on industrial cooperation, inventions/patents and spin-offs.
