"Donald R. Black, J.D., is an Attorney-at-law in the USA who has also qualified to be a solicitor in England and Wales, but he lives and works in Berlin, Germany. His legal practice emphasizes general civil law with a business emphasis. In Berlin, he is especially licensed as a Legal Advisor (Rechtsberater) to practice American and English law in Germany, and served as President (Vorsitzender) of the Foreign
Lawyers Association of Germany (Ausländischer Anwaltverein Deutschland e.V.) from 1990 to 1993.
In addition to his business profession, he has long been involved in education and legal language. For example, from 1994-1999 he was a full-time Lektor (lecturer) in English for Law and Economics at the University of Hannover in Germany. And until 1994 he was a part-time instructor for the University of Maryland European Division in Germany as well as the University of Hannover. Since 2000 he has taught an introduction to Anglo-American Law and Legal System in English at the Berlin Free University School of Law."
