Heike Krieger ist Universitätsprofessorin für Öffentliches Recht und Völkerrecht an der Freien Universität Berlin und Sprecherin der DFG geförderten Kolleg-Forschungsgruppe „The International Rule of Law – Rise or Decline?“. Sie hat u.a. an der Universität Göttingen, der Universität Nottingham und dem Centre for Transnational Legal Studies, London gelehrt. Heike Krieger war von 2007 bis 2014 Richterin des Verfassungsgerichtshofs des Landes Berlin, von 2014 bis 2020 Mitglied des Wissenschaftsrates und von 2017 bis 2021 Max-Planck-Fellow am Max-Planck-Institut für ausländisches öffentliches Recht und Völkerrecht, Heidelberg. Sie ist Mitglied des Holberg Committee. Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen im Allgemeinen Völkerrecht, im humanitären Völkerrecht und im Menschenrechtsschutz.

 

Heike Krieger ist Editor-in-Chief des Yearbook of International Humanitarian Law (T.M.C. Asser Press and Springer) and Mitglied des Editorial Board des Journal of Conflict and Security Law (Oxford University Press). Zu ihren Veröffentlichungen gehören “Legitimacy and Law-making in International Humanitarian Law” (Edward Elgar Publishing, 2021; Hrsg.), “Due Diligence in the International Legal Order” (Oxford University Press, 2020; hrsg. mit A.
