Roland Kläger is a German lawyer specializing in international arbitration and litigation. He studied law at the University of Freiburg and holds a doctor of laws in international investment law from the University of Tübingen. Prior to joining Haver & Mailänder in 2012, Roland Kläger worked in the dispute resolution group of an international law firm in Frankfurt. He was also a Research Fellow for European and Public International Law at the University of Freiburg and a Visiting Fellow at the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law of the University of Cambridge. Roland Kläger completed his legal traineeship in Frankfurt, Hanau and Beijing and gained further experience at the German Mission to the United Nations in Geneva as well as at the department of the German Federal Ministry of Economics competent for the negotiation of international investment agreements. He is the author of the book ‘Fair and Equitable Treatment’ in International Investment Law (CUP, 2011).
