Online interlibrary lending replaces traditional interlibrary lending for users of the libraries of Freie Universität Berlin in those areas connected to the online interlibrary lending system.
After searching without success for an item in the online catalog of Freie Universität, users can immediately forward their search query to the Cooperative Library Consortium Berlin-Brandenburg (Kooperativer Bibliotheksverbund Berlin-Brandenburg (KOBV) - http://digibib.kobv.de/) as part of their OPAC search and place an online order with this body. The link under the question “Search the KOBV? Interlibrary loan request?” will take you to the interlibrary lending form.
For more information, please see the pages of the University Library, where you can also find a form for international interlibrary lending if necessary.
The library information service (bibliothekarische Auskunft) of the law library will be happy to assist you with any questions you may have. This means that you can place your order on site, using a computer at the library, or from elsewhere via the Internet. Interlibrary lending materials must be picked up and returned at the University Library (39 Garystreet).
For users who are not affiliated with Freie Universität Berlin, interlibrary lending is subject to a fee. For details of the costs, please see the pages of the University Library.
